Expect an early wake-up call. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a rusk before departing for your morning game drive. This is probably the most beautiful part of the day; experiencing the early morning in the African Bush and seeing the sunrise. Stop along the way for some tea, coffee, or hot chocolate and rusks. Return to the lodge for breakfast. During the day, there is ample free time to go on a guided walking safari, sunbathe by the pool, or participate in the optional activities listed below at your own cost. In the late afternoon, convene for high tea before departing for the day’s second African bush safari. Enjoy a sundowner drink along the way, get out of the vehicle to stretch your legs and watch the sunset. As darkness descends, continue the game drive while the tracker scans the landscape with a spotlight to pick out the glinting eyes of nocturnal animals. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Each of these full days at the Private Game Reserve will include all meals and twice daily game drives. Your highly-qualified safari ranger will drive you through the Balule Private Game Reserve in a ten-passenger, topless land rover vehicle with the help of a skilled tracker to optimize your game viewing experience. Although the leopard can be elusive, you will have the possibility of seeing the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – and witnessing their way of life.
