Depart from the U.S.A. for your overnight flight to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) in Tanzania.
Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), proceed through passport control and customs. Your guide will be waiting for you as you come out of customs just outside the arrival gate, holding a sign with your group’s name on. Be transferred to your lodge, Rivertrees Country Inn ,and check in for 1 night on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis.
After breakfast, depart from Arusha with your private driver/guides in private 4×4 safari vehicles with a pop-up roofs and travel to Tarangire National Park for game driving. Check into Tarangire Ndovu Camp for 2 nights.
Enjoy your days in this beautiful national park, for game driving and exploration.
After breakfast, check out and depart for morning game drives in Tarangire National Park, then drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives and exploration. Drive to Ngorongoro Farm House and check in for 2 nights on Full Board basis.
After breakfast, descend down to the crater floor for game viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Depart after breakfast and check-out from the lodge, drive to the Lake Manyara Airstrip for your small aircraft flight to Kogatende Airstrip in the Northern Serengeti (08.35/10.30). On arrival, be met by the camp vehicles for scheduled and shared game drives and exploration in Northern Serengeti. Proceed for lunch at Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp. Check in for 4 nights on Full Board basis. Enjoy afternoon game drives on shared basis. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
During your days in the Serengeti, enjoy game drives and game viewing with the possibility of seeing river crossings.
PLEASE NOTE: The luggage allowance on the small aircraft flights within Tanzania is 20kg (44 lbs) for ALL luggage, including hand luggage. Only soft duffels are allowed.
After breakfast, check out and game drive to the Kogatende Airstrip for your small aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro Airport to check in for your international flight back home.
IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE OPTIONAL EXTENSION TO RWANDA FOR THE GORILLA TREKKING:
After breakfast, check out and game drive to the Kogatende Airstrip for your small aircraft flight to Kigali, Rwanda, on Auric Air, departing at 10:15 am. You will stop over at Mwanza for passport control. Upon arrival in Kigali at 12:20 am, go through passport control, collect your luggage and be met at Arrivals by your driver/guides.
Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park area ready for gorilla trekking the following day. Check into the Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for 2 nights. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
The following morning, after an early breakfast, transfer to the national park head quarters for pre-gorilla trekking formalities that involve a briefing from the park warden and getting allocated to a gorilla trekking group. Along with your ranger guide head out for this once in a life incredible experience with the Gorillas. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Check out, then visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, a community development and conservation project. Transfer to Kigali and have lunch and a city tour. Be transferred to the Kigali Airport to check in for your flight back to the U.S.A.
