Ntaba was wonderful to work with, they helped me plan a custom private tour for my clients who were thrilled with the results. I was especially impressed when things went wrong, the client accidentally left her passport on the transfer vehicle when arriving in South Africa at 11:30pm. I was able to get a hold of team members at Ntaba and within 12 hours she had it back in her possession! That is a great support system you can count on!

As a travel advisor, I’ve worked with Ntaba African Safaris to plan several safaris for my clients, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Their professionalism and organization are top-notch—every itinerary is thoughtfully designed, and logistics are always seamless. The team is incredibly responsive and always available to answer questions or jump on a Zoom call, which makes the planning process smooth and stress-free. My clients consistently rave about their experiences, describing their safaris as “the trip of a lifetime.” The overwhelmingly positive feedback and repeat bookings speak volumes. If you want a safari planning partner who is reliable, communicative, and truly cares about delivering exceptional experiences, Ntaba is the best choice!

Ntaba knows how to take you to Africa because they are natives to South Africa. Their passion for Africa shines through, not just because it's their business, but because it's their home. You can tell the owners and the guides have a true passion for sharing their home with others. They've established incredible relationships with the local businesses, tour vendors, and locals to the point, it seemed everywhere we went, our group leader was greeted with either a big smile, a hug, handshake or all of the above. I felt we were in good hands because of this. I would trust them with my Africa travel any day because it's their home and because of the incredible network of relationships they've established in each of their destinations.

We had an amazing time in South Africa and Zimbabwe with Ntaba African Safaris. The itinerary was well planned in that it offered a variety of experiences in each place, and the time we had in each place was ample enough to enjoy each experience. Visiting Africa has been a lifeline bucket list item and I am so thankful to Ntaba for making it a truly amazing experience.

Stella and her staff were absolutely fantastic in arranging our first African Safari. Their attention to detail was superb and our resulting experience was even better. Starting in Johannesburg with a wonderful boutique hotel then on to Victoria Falls, Savute Safari Lodge, Camp Okavango, then Camp Moremi, our memories will last a lifetime. Each step was carefully orchestrated with each Camp’s staffs fully briefed and prepared for our arrival. We saw tons of animals and made lifelong friends with other travelers from around the world. Great experience. I would encourage everyone to go at least once and ANTABA African Safaris is a great provider. Jim & Toni McIntyre

The itinerary, the local guides, the wildlife, and the amazing new friends made, were all fantastic. The experiences were positively life changing. The sunrises and sunsets were stunning. My daughter and I experienced what we know was the trip of lifetime, and we are grateful. If you are thinking about a trip to Africa, stop thinking and do it!

Your Journey, Day by Day:

Day 1: Overnight Travel

Overnight USA to Africa

Day 2: Johannesburg

Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport, proceed through passport control, collect your luggage, and clear customs. Your Ntaba Guide will meet you and escort you to the City Lodge O.R. Tambo Hotel, located next to the airport. Check into your standard room for 1 night on a bed & breakfast basis. Dinner is at your own expense.

Days 3-4: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After breakfast, check out and walk to the terminal for your flight from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls. On arrival, have USD 30 in cash ready to pay for your single-entry Zimbabwe visa. Proceed through passport control, collect your luggage, and clear customs. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to Insika Lodge to check into your luxury room for 2 nights.

You can enjoy a light lunch at the lodge. Later in the afternoon, transfer to the Zambezi River for a luxury Sunset Dinner Cruise aboard the Malachite. Enjoy a three-course meal, drinks, wildlife sightings, and unforgettable sunset views. Return to the lodge around 8:30 pm.

The following morning, enjoy breakfast before visiting the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary. Learn about the elephants’ stories and conservation challenges, then interact with them—feed, pet, and take memorable photos. Afterwards, visit the local craft market.

You’ll then head to the Lookout Café for lunch (included; drinks extra), with optional activities like the Gorge Swing or Flying Fox available at your own expense. After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the spectacular Victoria Falls.

Return to the lodge for dinner.

Days 5-7: Cape Town

Day 5 – Victoria Falls to Cape Town
Begin the day with an early sunrise breakfast cruise on the Zambezi River aboard the Fish Eagle. Enjoy coffee and a light breakfast while taking in the calm beauty of the river and watching for wildlife. After the cruise, return to the lodge to check out. You’ll then be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Cape Town.

Upon arrival in Cape Town, go through passport control and customs before being transferred to the Portswood Hotel, located on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Check into your standard room for a 3-night stay on a bed & breakfast basis. The evening is free to relax or explore the waterfront; dinner is at your own expense.

Day 6 – Cape Town
After breakfast, depart with your private driver-guide for a full day of sightseeing. Weather permitting, take the cable car up Table Mountain for panoramic views over the city. If conditions don’t allow, visit Signal Hill instead. Stop at The Diamond Works for a diamond-cutting demonstration and browse their collection of jewellery, African crafts, and décor. Continue with a short city tour, including a visit to the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood.

Next, head to Groot Constantia Wine Estate for a cellar tour, wine tasting, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its diverse plant life and stunning scenery. Return to the hotel for a free evening. You may wish to dine at GOLD Restaurant, which includes a live African drumming show.

Day 7 – Cape Peninsula
After breakfast, travel along the scenic coastal route to Hout Bay and continue over the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive. Visit Cape Point, the most south-western tip of the African continent, and walk to the top for sweeping ocean views. Then, stop at Boulders Beach to see the resident African penguin colony.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant overlooking False Bay before returning to your hotel. The evening is free to relax or explore more of the waterfront at your leisure.

Days 8-10: Kruger Private Reserves

After an early breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to Cape Town Airport. Check-in for your flight to Hoedspruit in the Greater Kruger Park. Upon arrival at the Hoedspruit Airport, be met and transferred to the Shiduli Private Game Lodge in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve. Check into your luxury room for 3 nights. Enjoy lunch and your first game drive that afternoon. You will have the chance to see the Big 5 – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard.

A typical day in the Game Reserve:

Each morning, expect an early wake-up call. Gather for refreshments before heading out at first light. The “big cats” may still be around after their night of hunting. Game drives are conducted in open game vehicles with your skilled ranger and tracker, allowing you to admire the animals of Africa. Between your morning and afternoon game drives, have some free time to relax or be treated at the Spa. Late afternoon, convene for high tea before departing for the day’s second African Bush Safari. Enjoy a sundowner drink along the way, step out of the vehicle to stretch your legs, and take in the sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 11: Overnight Travel

After your morning game drive and breakfast, check out and be transferred to the Hoedspruit Airport to check in for your flight to Johannesburg and then your connecting flight back to the USA.
