Hi to both Stella and Robin! Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond to your messages. I want to echo what Jane said in her text and to thank you for what certainly was a “bucket list” experience. I, like Jane, have enjoyed relating to friends and family what a fabulous trip this was.

At times now that I’ve returned to “life as I know it”, I pinch myself in wonder! Was I really there? Then I look at my pictures (Yes, Jane, I am going through them! We need a date to get together to share photos! And we want some of Robin’s also!) and remind myself of the wonder of it all. I really WAS there!

People ask me for a favorite moment or what stands out as the most amazing thing I saw. I am hard pressed to narrow it down to just a single experience or sight. To a person, the people we met all along the way left such positive impressions in my head and heart. And for me the time spent on the drives as we searched for animals was nothing short of magical.

Glad that part came at the end as anything we might have done afterwards would have felt anticlimactic. So… many thanks to you both for all of your wonderful planning of every detail and to Robin for being with us every step of the way.

Larry joins me in saying “Cheers” to Ntaba African Safaris! Those traveling with you in the future are in for a real treat!

    Africa – a journal, a journey

Africa, a personal dream to see, a personal dream to experience, a personal dream I never expected to check off my bucket list. Never, and I mean never, ever did I think my dream would become a reality. But dreams do come true.

When East Africa Delivers Jaw-dropping Experiences!

Crocs, Crossings, and Big Cats 'Expect the unexpected' is a go-to mantra for all travelers. Yes, we may experience delayed flights, wayward luggage, offline credit card machines.  For our own sanity’s sake, we just learn to ‘go with the flow’.  Yet those inconveniences pale in comparison to the encounters that simply take your breath away...

Ntaba African Safaris Supporting Zimbabwean Artists

‘Painting with the Elephants’ is a favorite activity with Ntaba African Safaris guests when visiting Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We recently met a talented artist who, with much patience and humor, coached our guests through this experience. This young man and his art was so popular, we thought we would share his story. Rescue – Rehabilitation – Release

When you visit the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage just outside the town of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, you’re doing more than having an encounter with a rescued or orphaned elephant. When you stroke Coco’s trunk (a 43-year-old female named after the great clothing designer) or when you toss specially-formulated treats into Thembi’s mouth (14...
