Usa River | Arusha Republic of Tanzania
Tucked quietly between two of Tanzania’s most dramatic landscapes, Usa River—known locally as Ussa—is a small town resting between Ngurdoto Crater and Arusha National Park at the foot of Mount Meru. The surrounding countryside is a patchwork of farmland, coffee estates, and forested slopes dotted with small villages. Within the town, lively markets line the roads, filled with fresh produce, textiles, and handmade crafts. Visitors can cycle between Usa River and the nearby market town of Tengeru through farmland and villages, passing shaded and open areas that reveal local life, schools, and community centres for a relaxed, immersive cultural experience. Nearby trails lead to the Usa Springs Forest Reserve – also known as Kibola Forest – and the Meru Waterfalls, both known for scenic walks and rich birdlife. Tarangire National Park

Volcanoes National Park | Rwanda (Optional Addition to the Journey)
Bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo in Rwanda, and set high on the jungle-covered slopes of the volcanic Virunga Mountains, the Volcanoes National Park is best known as a sanctuary for the region’s rare mountain gorillas. Visitors flock here to experience face to face encounters with these intriguing creatures. Regulated treks through the reserve allow visitors to spend an hour at a time with these incredible primates in their natural habitat. While the gorillas are without a doubt the main drawcard, visitors can also look forward to exploring a network of scenic hiking trails, with the beautiful day hike to the crater lake on Mount Bisoke being a particular highlight. TANZANIA VISA INFORMATION The Tanzania Immigration and Home Affairs Department just recently launched an upgraded new Online Visa System. A prospective visitor to the United Republic of Tanzania can now easily apply, make payment, and receive his/her Visa Grant Notice online. Clients normally apply for the Visa around 1-2 months in advance of travel. US Citizens must always and are only allowed a Multi-Entry Visa. The cost is US$100 per person. The Multi-Entry Visa is valid for one year from the date of issue.
To access these services, an applicant is required to visit the Tanzania Immigration Services Department’s website https://visa.immigration.go.tz/ to apply for a New Visa. Then, an applicant will submit his/her relevant scanned document attachments online, after which he/she will receive an email message containing User Identification Number that he/she can use to track status of his/her visa application online.
Thereafter, an applicant will be required to make payment of his/her visa application fee either by Visa Card, Master Card, or Swift Transfer (i.e. depositing money directly into the Tanzania Immigration Services Department Bank Account at a bank counter). After payment of the respective fee, an applicant will receive a notification that the payment has been received.
Finally, an applicant will receive a “Visa Grant Notice” through his/her email and begin his/her trip to the United Republic of Tanzania.
If you are visiting Zanzibar during your trip, please note that Zanzibar is part of Tanzania and no separate Visa is required since the Multi-Entry Visa for Tanzania is also valid for travel to Zanzibar.

Ntaba was wonderful to work with, they helped me plan a custom private tour for my clients who were thrilled with the results. I was especially impressed when things went wrong, the client accidentally left her passport on the transfer vehicle when arriving in South Africa at 11:30pm. Stella and her staff were absolutely fantastic in arranging our first African Safari. Their attention to detail was superb and our resulting experience was even better. Starting in Johannesburg with a wonderful boutique hotel then on to Victoria Falls, Savute Safari Lodge, Camp Okavango, then Camp Moremi, our memories will last a lifetime. Each step was carefully orchestrated with each Camp’s staffs fully briefed and prepared for our arrival. We saw tons of animals and made lifelong friends with other travelers from around the world. Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), proceed through passport control and customs. Your guide will be waiting for you, holding a name board, as you come out of customs just outside the arrival gate. Be transferred to your lodge, Mount Meru game Lodge, and check in for 1 night on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis. Enjoy Dinner at the Lodge.
Days 2 – 4: Tarangire National Park Tue. 31 Aug 2027 – Thu. 2 Sep 2027
After breakfast and check out, depart at 08:30 am from Arusha with your Private Driver / Guides in Private 4×4 Safari Vehicles with a pop-up roofs and travel to Tarangire National Park for game driving. In the late afternoon travel to Tarangire Ndovu Camp and check in for 3 nights.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater | Tarangire National Park Fri. 3 Sep 2027
After an early breakfast, check out and depart for morning game drive out of Tarangire National Park and descent into Ngorongoro crater floor for game driving. Return back to the crater rim and transfer to Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast and check out, be transferred to the Lake Manyara Airstrip. Say “Good-bye” to your private driver/guide and depart on your small aircraft flight at 11:10 am to the Northern Serengeti. Upon arrival at the Kogatende Airstrip, be Met by Your Driver / Guide for shared and scheduled game drives.
Check into your luxury tents at the Kaskaz Mara Camp for 4 Nights. Enjoy your stay at this beautiful Lodge, going on game drives to see the Great Migration and possible river crossings.

Have breakfast at the camp and check out. Transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for your small aircraft flight at 09:30 am to Kigali, Rwanda. Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, be met and transfer to the Volcanoes National Park area to be ready for Gorilla Trekking the following day. Check into the Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for 2 nights. Dinner will be served at the Lodge.
The following morning, after an early breakfast, transfer to the national park head quarters for pre- gorilla trekking formalities that involve a briefing from the park warden, getting allocated to a gorilla trekking group and then later along with your ranger guide head out for this once in a life experience with the Gorillas. This is going to be an incredible experience!
Afterwards, visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, a community development and conservation project. Return to the Lodge for an afternoon at your leisure.
