Rabat
Rabat and its twin city, Sale, overlook the Atlantic Ocean from their location at the mouth of the Bouregreg River. This enchanting city serves as Morocco’s capital and features fascinating Islamic and French-colonial architecture. With a rich historical and cultural heritage, a long coastline with beautiful rocky and sandy beaches, an ecologically diverse countryside, wonderful hiking trails and a vibrant city centre with lush, green parks, the city is a popular destination for travellers. Explore the city on foot, relax on the unspoilt beaches and visit the captivating 12th-century seaside kasbah of Udayas.
Fes
Morocco’s second-largest city and the country’s former capital, Fes (Fez) is an exotic mix of Arabic architecture, ancient alleyways calls to prayer and colourful markets; all mixed in with a good dose of modern culture. Home to the venerated Karaouine Mosque, which dates back to 859 AD and incorporates an Islamic university, and to the country’s most hallowed shrine, the Zaouia Moulay Idriss II; Fes is regarded as the spiritual seat of Morocco. Music lovers should try to synchronise their trips with the annual Festival of Sacred Music, one of the highlights of the city’s cultural calendar showcasing diverse performances of spiritual and religious music; while those with a penchant for shopping can browse the mesmerizing colourful markets selling an exquisite array of silver, leather and other handicrafts up for grabs.
Erg Chebbi Desert
Situated in the vast desert region of Saharan Morocco, dividing Morocco and Algeria, Erg Chebbi is one of two Moroccan ‘ergs’, which are a sea of dunes. What it lacks in size – compared to the deserts of Algeria, Libya and Namibia – it makes up for in its extraordinarily scenic golden landscape, which changes colours dramatically at sunset. The dunes of Erg Chebbi span over 30 kilometres and rise up to 160 metres. From Merzouga, the tourist centre, take a camel trip into the wild; enjoy quad biking; or stay overnight in a desert oasis called a Moroccan bivouac.
Merzouga
Situated on the edge of the Sahara Desert, close to the Algerian border, the small Moroccan village of Merzouga serves as the gateway to the Erg Chebbi, an expanse of impressive dune fields. The area offers a fantastic selection of activities including camel safaris through the desert; magical sunrise or sunset viewing over the rolling dunes; traditional Moroccan culture experiences in the heart of the village; and visits to the seasonal salt lake of Dayet Srji, inhabited by an array of desert and migratory birds. Don’t miss the golden 150-metre-tall Grande Dune de Merzouga, known to be the tallest dune of the Erg Chebbi.
Ouarzazate
At the intersection of the Dades and Draa Valley lies the relaxed Moroccan town of Ouarzazate. Surrounded by some unbelievably picturesque terrain, the town is characterised by the red-glowing kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou, the snowcapped High Atlas Mountains, and the spectacular Sahara Desert with its rolling dunes, vast canyons and deep gorges. These exotic backdrops have served as the location for a slew of Hollywood movies which have turned this once sleepy town into Morocco’s version of Hollywood. The town is a popular stopover point for tourists on their way to the Sahara. Its palm-fringed boulevards are lined with grand palaces, bustling souks, old adobe buildings and film studios. It’s an ideal location for hanging out at one of the many charming cafés, sampling some delicious local Moroccan cuisine and perhaps even spotting one of the many celebrities who frequent this fascinating North African city.
Marrakesh
Situated to the north of the foothills of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and fringing the famed Sahara, the bustling UNESCO-listed city of Marrakesh is an enchanting travel destination. Marrakesh is also home to the largest traditional Berber market in Morocco and one of the busiest squares in the world, known as Djemaa el Fna. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit this square in the evening as it transforms into an enormous, open-air restaurant, and browse through exquisite carpets, spices and a myriad of other items. Art, design and architecture enthusiasts flock to the city to see its incredible artisan achievements, so beautifully expressed at the glorious Bahia Palace, Dar Si Said and Saadian Tombs, as well as at several museums. The other-worldly Jardin Majorelle is also unmissable.

N’Taba designed and arranged our 2+ week African adventure They did a wonderful job of juxtaposing city stays with African safaris. We began our journey in Johannesburg. We did a city tour and then spent some time at the Apartheid museum We left Johannesburg with an understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of South Africa. We then flew to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and had checked into Old Drift Lodge which was a 5 star tented game lodge on the Zimbaze river. Excellent food and accommodations, morning and evening game drives, sunrise and sunset cruises on the river as well as an early morning hike at Victoria Falls (breathless) and lunch overlooking the falls. We then flew to Cape Town and stayed three nights at the waterfront. Great city tour by Des who was knowledgeable and passionate and we developed a more in depth understanding of the history, culture and past and present politics. A visit to a penguin colony was something we always wanted to do and it did not disappoint! Spent a day in the wine country (Stellenbosch) exploring (and tasting) at beautiful vineyards. A memorable lunch at one of the vineyards was included. We then flew to Sabi Sands preserve and spent four glorious days at Savannah Lodge. We thought we had experienced a safari at Victoria Falls but the safari in Sabi Sands was another level. The Lodge was a level of expertise and luxury never imagined and the game drives unbelievable. We were paired with the same Ranger and Tracker (Derek and Kelley) for all four days (8 game drives). We thought each drive could not be surpassed. Until the next one! We saw the big five (elephants, buffalos, rhinos, leopards and lions) on a daily basis and were able to see elephants, lions and rhinos nursing!
Everything was seamless. All flights and transports on time as scheduled. Communication on WhatsApp as necessary. The itinerary, the travel schedule and their choice of lodging were impeccable. We had the time of our life! We thought that this was a trip of a lifetime but we are already talking about another trip to Africa. And we would certainly have N’Taba arrange and schedule it.

Ntaba was wonderful to work with, they helped me plan a custom private tour for my clients who were thrilled with the results. I was especially impressed when things went wrong, the client accidentally left her passport on the transfer vehicle when arriving in South Africa at 11:30pm. I was able to get a hold of team members at Ntaba and within 12 hours she had it back in her possession! That is a great support system you can count on!

As a travel advisor, I’ve worked with Ntaba African Safaris to plan several safaris for my clients, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Their professionalism and organization are top-notch—every itinerary is thoughtfully designed, and logistics are always seamless.
The team is incredibly responsive and always available to answer questions or jump on a Zoom call, which makes the planning process smooth and stress-free. My clients consistently rave about their experiences, describing their safaris as “the trip of a lifetime.” The overwhelmingly positive feedback and repeat bookings speak volumes.
If you want a safari planning partner who is reliable, communicative, and truly cares about delivering exceptional experiences, Ntaba is the best choice!

Ntaba knows how to take you to Africa because they are natives to South Africa. Their passion for Africa shines through, not just because it's their business, but because it's their home. You can tell the owners and the guides have a true passion for sharing their home with others. They've established incredible relationships with the local businesses, tour vendors, and locals to the point, it seemed everywhere we went, our group leader was greeted with either a big smile, a hug, handshake or all of the above. I felt we were in good hands because of this. I would trust them with my Africa travel any day because it's their home and because of the incredible network of relationships they've established in each of their destinations.

We had an amazing time in South Africa and Zimbabwe with Ntaba African Safaris. The itinerary was well planned in that it offered a variety of experiences in each place, and the time we had in each place was ample enough to enjoy each experience. Visiting Africa has been a lifeline bucket list item and I am so thankful to Ntaba for making it a truly amazing experience.

Stella and her staff were absolutely fantastic in arranging our first African Safari. Their attention to detail was superb and our resulting experience was even better. Starting in Johannesburg with a wonderful boutique hotel then on to Victoria Falls, Savute Safari Lodge, Camp Okavango, then Camp Moremi, our memories will last a lifetime. Each step was carefully orchestrated with each Camp’s staffs fully briefed and prepared for our arrival. We saw tons of animals and made lifelong friends with other travelers from around the world. Great experience. I would encourage everyone to go at least once and ANTABA African Safaris is a great provider. Jim & Toni McIntyre
