Victoria Falls

Discover Victoria Falls with Ntaba African Safaris

Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Victoria Falls , called the “Smoke that Thunders”, is a waterfall located in southern Africa on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Visit the magnificent Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall, with Ntaba African Safaris.

Things to do at the Victoria Falls:

There is no end of amazing things to do at the Victoria Falls. You can admire the falls from a safe distance or if you are feeling adventurous you can bungee from Victoria Falls bridge or white water raft down the Zambezi. Alternatively, you can visit the museum or embark on a village tour.

Below we take a closer look at three activities you can do in and around the Victoria Falls.

Sunset River Cruise on the Zambezi River

  • The Zambezi River Cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the river.
  • You may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile, elephant, and even rhino in their home environment, as well as enjoy the many different bird species.
  • The Sunset Cruise is very popular and includes finger snacks, beer, wine, champagne and soft drinks. There are great photo opportunities against often-spectacular African sunsets.

Guided tour of Victoria Falls

  • Victoria Falls , 5 million years old, reaches its zenith in about May each year.
  • It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell; the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece.
  • No photograph can begin to depict the reality…and nothing prepares you for your first sight.
  • En route, you may be taken past the ‘Big Tree’ where you may stop and take photos.
  • You will be accompanied through the rain forest by a qualified Guide who will give a brief history of the Falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Raincoats are provided when needed.

Visit Chobe National Park in Botswana near Victoria Falls

  • Next to the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park is probably Botswana’s next most well known conservation area.
  • It is a diverse area, from the border at the Chobe River, to the now dry Savute Channel, and beyond to the borders of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve/Okavango Delta.
  • The Park is best known for its concentrations of elephant – some 120 000 individuals, along with good numbers of buffalo, antelope and predators. Birding is also excellent, with many migrants visiting from November to March.
