Amos was born in Mto wa Mbu, Monduli Distrct on 27th April, 1964. He has one of the most courteous, calm and sharing personalities that we know.
After years of working as a teacher, Amos decided to study and move into tourism. His home town Mto wa Mbu (‘Mosquito River’) is well known as it is located on the main road to connect Arusha with Ngorongoro and beyond. This means that he grew up watching tourists explore his village or on their way to the great northern national parks.
Amos loves tour guiding because he loves learning. He believes that nobody should ever stop learning, there are always new ideas, new information and new and improved methods to share knowledge.
Amos is married to Hilda, and together they have had three daughters and one son. Sadly, his son passed away with Sickle Cell Anaemia in 2009. His three daughters are the light of his life: Hilda (born 1994) and the twins Herieth & Helen (born 2012).
His favourite animal is the hyena – so many people considering the hyena to be an animal with being stupid. Amos believes that this is not true, their complex family systems and hunting styles clearly demonstrate their communication and interaction skills. This is why the Serengeti National Park is Amos’s favourite place to game drive and explore – full of hyena dens! Amos is waiting to show you around.
